Hitachi-SAP Forms Technology Alliance

Hitachi announced a strategic alliance with business software provider SAP AG. Collaboration includes integration of both technologies, technical support, development of interoperability center of competence as well as sales and marketing activities together.

In this agreement, Hitachi and SAP will strengthen the integration of cloud computing solutions, storage virtualization, corporate resource planning (enterprise resource planning - ERP) and information lifecycle management (information lifecycle management - ILM).

Thus, all companies under the Hitachi and SAP can provide the information required by global customers to get maximum value from the solution of both parties. The maximum value encompasses the implementation and operational costs are lower through the optimization software solutions and infrastructure.

Hitachi is a vendor choice in many SAP implementation with high demands. Hitachi and its children, including Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) have formed a strategic alliance with SAP since 1994, which includes sales, integration and implementation of SAP solutions.
