Nokia has just launched a line of Windows Phone 7 smartphone with Nokia Lumia 800 as a star. And we will compare it with the Nokia N9 which has a similar design but using the MeeGo operating system.
Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia N9 has a similar design with the same size. However, Nokia N9 has a lighter weight than the weight of 7 grams of 142 grams of Nokia Lumia 800. And also Nokia Lumia 800 is equipped with three buttons (back, Start and search) on the front, while the Nokia N9 has no buttons on the front.
Despite having the same size, but in fact both have different screen sizes. Nokia N9 has a bigger screen that measures 3.9 inches with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, while the Nokia Lumia 800 has a screen measuring 3.7 inches with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
The most striking difference between the two smartphone operating system is used. Nokia N9 using MeeGo v1.2 (Harmattan), while Nokia Lumia 800 uses the operating system Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango).
For performance, the Nokia Lumia 800 relies 1.4GHz processor with 512MB of RAM support. While the Nokia N9 rely on a 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM support. Nokia N9 comes with two options ie internal memory capacity of 16GB and 64GB, while the Nokia Lumia 800 only has 16GB of internal memory.
Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia N9 both equipped with 8 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Ziess optics and dual LED flash that can take pictures with a maximum resolution of 3264×2448 pixels. Nokia N9 rely on the touch screen to take pictures, while the Nokia Lumia 800 is equipped with a dedicated camera button.
For connectivity features, the Nokia N9 and Nokia Lumia 800 are both equipped with HSPA network support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Nokia N9 is equipped also with the ability to become Wi-Fi hotspot and NFC features.
